ISO-certification
Hydroscand is ISO certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. With its ISO certifications, Hydroscand aims to offer the market a service and quality that meets customer requirements.
To ensure that we meet the market requirements, we continue to certify local branches. For an updated list of branches included in our corporate certificate, please refer to page 2 of the certificate document.
TRANSPARENCY ACT
The Transparency Act, formally known as the "Act relating to enterprises’ transparency and work on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions," came into effect in Norway on July 1, 2022. This law requires larger companies to assess and report on how they handle risks of human rights violations and poor working conditions in their supply chains and own operations. The law is based on principles from the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
DUE DILIGENCE ASSESSMENT
Due Diligence Assessments are systematic evaluations that businesses perform to identify, prevent, and address risks related to human rights, working conditions, environmental impact, and corruption within their operations and supply chains. Due diligence is a key component of responsible business practices and is emphasized in laws like the Norwegian Transparency Act and international standards such as the OECD Guidelines and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED)
Marine equipment can only be installed on board ships flying the flag of an EU country, Norway, Iceland and other flag states if it is marked with the MED mark of conformity, also known as the “wheelmark”. Hydroscand holds certification on selected products, services as well as branches supplying the marine market.

Reach
Hydroscand AS, in accordance with the requirements of REACH, is qualified as a distributor and "importer of goods." Hydroscand AS is not qualified as a producer/importer of chemicals according to the REACH directive and is therefore not obligated to register or pre-register.
Hydroscand AS meets all requirements in the supply chain. We mandate all our suppliers to register chemical sheets, in accordance with the REACH directive. We also expect them to impose the same requirements on their suppliers. All chemicals used by Hydroscand AS have safety data sheets registered in EcoOnline.
ROHS
Hydroscand AS has implemented the necessary measures to ensure that all products marketed comply with the requirements of the RoHS Directive. Currently, the directive does not affect the product range of Hydroscand AS.
